Leeds Lunchtime Round-Up, Tuesday 20th October 2026: Carragher's Real Madrid Comparison After Man Utd Draw Headlines the Day

Leeds sit on 10 points after seven Premier League games, a return that has some fans already dreaming about where the season could lead under the 49ers' ownership (LeedsLive).

That optimism has been fuelled by another encouraging display against Manchester United, with Jamie Carragher handing out a striking compliment by likening the performance to a Real Madrid showing, even though Leeds missed a good chance to beat their old rivals (Yorkshire Evening Post).

One of the stars of that match, Noah Okafor, says Elland Road already "feels like home" after his brace against Manchester United, with the Swiss winger now etched into Leeds United folklore following that display (Yorkshire Evening Post).

Off the pitch, LeedsLive report that Daniel Farke's side face two significant contract calls, with a pair of players entering the final year of their deals, leaving fans debating whether they should be offered fresh terms (LeedsLive).
