Leeds Afternoon Round-Up, Friday 23rd October 2026: Farke Confirms Triple Injury Blow Ahead of Sunderland Trip

Daniel Farke held his pre-match press conference this afternoon ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, previewing the game and giving the latest team news (LeedsLive) (Yorkshire Evening Post).

The headline news is far from positive, with Farke confirming that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach are all "major doubts" for the match (LeedsLive). The manager gave a detailed fitness update on the trio during his media duties (LeedsUnited.com). Yorkshire Evening Post described it as a "triple" blow for Leeds, while a further update suggested the injury situation leaves Leeds with five players out and five more doubtful ahead of the weekend (Yorkshire Evening Post) (Yorkshire Evening Post).

On a brighter note, LeedsUnited.com have also looked ahead to the Sunderland game from a different angle, with a feature touching on Gudmundsson's hopes for the match, some league-leading stats, and reflections on how the season has gone so far (LeedsUnited.com).

More team news and team selection details are expected to follow as the weekend approaches, with Farke continuing to assess the fitness of his squad before Sunday's kick-off (Yorkshire Evening Post) (Yorkshire Evening Post).
