Muharemovic opens up on Calvert-Lewin chats and family's Leeds following
Tarik Muharemovic has been speaking about his growing partnership with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and his family's devotion to following Leeds United, with the comments forming the basis of several reports this week.
LeedsUnited.com's official account details Muharemovic's "pre-corner chat" with Calvert-Lewin, describing the striker as "the brain" of the back line during set-pieces, while also touching on the defender's family making a habit of attending away days (LeedsUnited.com).
LeedsLive picks up on the same interview, explaining that Muharemovic revealed the pre-goal conversation he has with Calvert-Lewin before corners, as well as how his father has attended every single Leeds United game, including trips on the road (LeedsLive). Both outlets agree on the core details - the pre-corner exchange with Calvert-Lewin and the family's ever-present support - though LeedsUnited.com frames Calvert-Lewin's role in more tactical terms as the organising influence at the back, whereas LeedsLive focuses more on the human interest angle of Muharemovic's father following the team home and away.
Separately, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports on fan reaction ahead of Leeds' Premier League trip to bottom-of-the-table Sunderland, noting supporters are in "complete agreement" on one aspect of the clash involving Calvert-Lewin, though the specifics of that certainty are not detailed in the snippet provided (Yorkshire Evening Post). This piece is more about supporter sentiment heading into the fixture rather than Muharemovic's comments directly, but it shares the common thread of Calvert-Lewin's importance to the side ahead of the Sunderland game.
Taken together, the picture painted is of a Leeds side where Muharemovic and Calvert-Lewin have built a notable on-pitch understanding around set-pieces, while off the pitch Muharemovic's family have become fixtures at matches themselves. Fans, meanwhile, appear united in their expectations around Calvert-Lewin as attention turns to the trip to the Stadium of Light.
